VUNET for Design Programmes

VUNET is conducted for the following programmes under the Faculty of “Art & Design”.

Bachelor of Design (Graphic Design / Product Design / User Experience Design, Animation Art Design, Game Art Design)
Master of Design (Graphic Design / Product Design / User Experience Design, Animation Art Design)

Qualifying through VUNET is mandatory for seeking admission at Vishwakarma University, Pune, for the above-mentioned undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The Candidate is exempted from VUNET if the candidate is appearing / has appeared for mentioned National Level Entrance Examination/s - For BDes (UCEED) and for MDes (CEED). Marks (any non-zero score) scored by the candidate (student) in such examination/s will be treated as equivalent for preparing the merit list of VUNET.

VUNET is not applicable to programmes other than the ones which are listed above viz. BA and MA programmes in Fashion Design, Interior Design, Animation and Multimedia.

For BDes and MDes, candidates need to apply for VUNET by filling up the VUNET Application Form and by paying requisite fees.

VUNET is conducted "online" on Vishwakarma University’s own “EasyPariksha” Platform / System in an online proctored mode.

VUNET for design programmes is conducted in 3 parts.

Part I : Design Aptitude Test – On the day of VUNET (10.15 a.m.)

Duration : 75 Mins
Mode of Entrance Examination: Online
Medium of Question & Answer : English
Negative Marks (for the wrong answer): Not Applicable
Questions / Marks :50 Questions – Randomly placed – Each question carries 1 mark – Total 50 Marks.
Each multiple choice question will have 4 options – the candidate is required to select / click one of the choices.
Coverage : Similar like UCEED / CEED
Registered / Applied candidates get examination details and instructions on the email to do the needful.

Part II – Studio Test (Perspective towards Design Thinking and Creativity) – On the Day of VUNET @ 12.00 noon

Duration : 90 Mins
Based on Design Conceptualization and Theme Sketches, Use of Material towards a Concept in 3D and Concept Write-Up.
Include 3 descriptive questions, from which the candidate is required to attempt any TWO Questions / Perform any TWO Tasks.
Each Question / Task is evaluated out of 25 marks. Total marks for Part II are 50.
After 90 mins candidate is required to scan performed work / task (cam scan or mobile photo) and upload the same on "EasyPariksha" Platform. Two separate files are to be uploaded for two attempted questions / tasks.
Candidates are suggested to put their full names on each sheet / paper before scanning and uploading.
Candidates are suggested to use any available standard A3 / A4 size paper to do so. 1 drawing paper per question / task (use one side only). Mention the question attempted / task performed on the respective sheet.
Refer to the “Material Requirement Tab” to arrange for desirable material to complete the task.

Both Part I and Part II are conducted on the same day – Day of VUNET

Part III (Portfolio & Interview)

Part III has two steps

Step I : Uploading the Portfolio – On the day of VUNET @ 2.00 to 5.00 p.m.

Step II : Interview based on Portfolio – As per scheduled communication.

Step I –

Candidates need to use EasyParikshaplatform to upload respective top 5 work items upto 5.00 p.m.Each work is to be uploaded as a separate file (JPEG, PDF or Audio / Visual File etc.). In total 5 Files are to be uploaded.
Suggested Pattern for renaming the files before uploading:FirstName_Lastname_FileNo (e.g. Ramesh_Tiwari_1, Ramesh_Tiwari_2 etc.)
Click on “Save” after uploading each / all files.Once all 5 files are uploaded then click on “End Exam” to submit Paper III.

Step II –

VU team studies uploaded work by candidates thoroughly, invites candidates for discussion / interview as per communicated schedule (between 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.)
The VU team communicates online meeting invites on candidates registered email IDs.
Interview / Portfolio Discussion Duration : About 20 to 25 minutes per candidate by the panel.
Candidates are suggested to be ready with all uploaded as well as additional portfolio items and relevant work for Interview / Portfolio Discussion.

Candidates need to read and understand all / relevant tabs (information items) available on the VUNET Home Page.

On the day of VUNET, Candidates need to follow the steps provided under The tab “Instructions – Test Instructions”.

Candidates need to refer specifically to the listed Do’s and Don’ts before VUNET, during VUNET and post VUNET.

Candidates are suggested to read technical requirements and do the needful accordingly.

Candidates are suggested to take MOCK VUNET to get the look and feel of the test / system / platform. However, the MOCK test questions are of general nature (indicative) and do not resemble with actual test questions.

VUNET results are communicated to individual candidates on their registered email ID within 5 working days from the date of VUNET.

Admission to Vishwakarma University through VUNET is the provisional admission for the said academic year and the same needs to be confirmed on payment of fees on or before the due date and subject to fulfilment of eligibility conditions of the respective programme(s) and in accordance with the rules of the Vishwakarma University, Pune.
